Homeschool Parent Hub

Field Trips and Local Learning Resources

Christ the Rock Lutheran Church

Finding meaningful real world learning opportunities can feel overwhelming, especially when balancing time, cost, and educational value. This Parent Hub session is a collaborative, discussion based gathering focused on sharing local resources that bring learning to life beyond the home. Together we will brainstorm favorite field trips, park districts, nature centers, museums, and free or low cost programs. Families are encouraged to share co ops, clubs, enrichment classes, local businesses that welcome homeschoolers, and curriculum or book recommendations that pair well with outings. ──────────────────────────── Parent Hub is a welcoming space for homeschool parents to connect, share, and feel supported over coffee or tea. These gatherings are designed to create meaningful conversation around homeschooling life, including the challenges, questions, and wins that come with it. Rather than a lecture or workshop, Parent Hub is discussion based and community focused. Topics may include homeschooling rhythms, curriculum choices, social dynamics, burnout, balance, and navigating different seasons of learning. Conversation is guided but flexible, allowing space for real experiences, thoughtful reflection, and shared problem solving. Participation is always optional. Parents are welcome to listen quietly, join the discussion, or contribute in whatever way feels comfortable. The goal is to build genuine connections and a supportive network of parents who can encourage one another beyond the meeting itself. We offer community supported pricing. Please choose the participation fee that works best for your family. Contributions help cover supplies, space rental, insurance, and preparation time so we can continue offering accessible programs.
